Poured cellar temp to a small snifter. Color is deep mahogany. No head other than a quick burn ring. Aroma is a mix of graham cracker and peanuts. Flavor profile has a decent amount of fresh peanuts mixed with graham crackers, and a bite of the cacao nibs at the end. I think the vanilla and marshmallows don’t do much for the flavor, but perhaps add to the nice heavy mouthfeel. I’m still not a true fan of marshmallow in stouts. Actually, I think I’m more put off by processed adjuncts, like marshmallow, crackers, cookies, candies, etc. because they add crap to what is an otherwise natural drink. Big alcohol presence helps keep the palate clean from the thick mouthfeel. Can’t quite place what bourbon barrel might have been used, but it’s a complementary flavor.
