On tap at Other Half FLX in Bloomfield, NY.
This one pours a very clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells oaky, with some super funky lemony aromas, and some peach as well.
This is deeply funky and complex, and much more interesting than a lot of beers Other Half is more known for. I don’t really get any notes from this being fermented in maple bourbon barrels, but I get some pleasantly spicy oakiness, with a funky lemon peel sort of thing, white wine, and a nice lightly acidic peachiness.
This is a slow sipper, due to the intensity of flavors, but very tasty.
It’s crazy that on the same visit to Other Half I can drink a barleywine with potato chips in it, and then also drink something like this.
