Our friends at J. Wakefield have been teaming up with us on this beer for 7 years now. Wow!!! Truly one of our defining BA imperial stouts. Treated with heaping amounts of marcona almonds, coconut and cacao nibs. Aged a mix of 13-24 months in bourbon barrels.

L- Black and oily….. no head or lacing
S-Chocolate, barrel and booze. A nice balance or each. On the periphery, one can detect the coconut, vanilla, and almonds. Other notes include some caramel and tobacco
T-Booze and barrel are upfront. Dark chocolate follows with the almonds and coconut making an appearance towards the finish. There is a lingering sweetness.
F-Thick and syrupy. Low carb.
O- Sum less than the whole of the parts. A bit too sweet, especially the finish and lingering after taste. Not on par with other OH BBAs.

Macaroons; chocolate; coconut…all “lite”… but a delicious melange with accompanying barrel/vanilla. Nicely smooth but a bit syrupy and some alcohol burn. Really enjoyed..just a bit slick/ syrupy.

Pours very dark and very thick, zero head, some coconut floaters - nice. Aroma is chocolate and almond paste with a nice dose of coconut. Flavor is sweet coconut and vanilla, Dutch letter almond paste, waves of chocolate, really nice bourbon barrel flavors. Liquid Almond Joy. Bittersweet chocolate finish. Delicious. Minimal carbonation, very viscous. Overall a delicious pastry stout. Glad I bought 2. Bot online with home delivery, which is really nice.

On tap at DC. Black color. Little head.
Tastes like cola/dr pepper. Warming bourbon and fudge, but has a thinner feel than normal OH stouts. Oaky. Some coconut. Cacao. Kinda of disappointed with this one.
