Our friends at Dogfish gave us the nod to Freaky Friday one of their best known beers for our 10th Anniversary. 60 Minute IPA has been a staple beer in craft for a long time and we hope we are doing it justice.

Evaluating this side-by-side with "real" 60 minute. This pours an crystal clear golden orange, 1"+ foamy white head with good retention and lacing; 60 minute has a much more robust head (2"+) with far better retention and lacing, but both are solid. Nose has good malt character for an OH beer, but fruity melon elements creep in, particularly as it warms, in a way that just doesn't happen with DFH. Mentholated hop builds as it warms as well. Taste follows - mild malt sweetness that grudgingly gives way to fruitier, more tropical and melon-forward flavors; OG betrays no fruit, but malt up front, mild bitterness mid-palate, before a healthy barley kick on the finish. Mouthfeel is roughly similar, moderate heaviness and nice, crisp carb. This was a real fun side-by-side, and appreciate the subtle OH spin on a classic.
