Bottle pour at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like milk chocolate, toasted coconut, fudge, and a nice bright and vibrant coffee aroma.
I expected this to be quite syrupy and sweet, and to be honest, it is – but less so than expected from Other Half lately. The coffee is the start here, providing a brightly roasty, chocolatey, and vibrant flavor that melds well with the toasted coconut. The base stout is sweet and milk chocolatey.
This is medium bodied, not very boozy, but pretty heavy, as most Other Half stouts tend to be.
This is more restrained than most Other Half pastry stouts, but ultimately still pretty heavy duty.
