A sweet decadent syrupy concoction with vanilla, coconut, almonds and chocolate highlights this Bourbon Barrel Aged Pastry Imperial Stout. ABV of 12.5%. No head but none should be expected with this style of beer. 500mL bottle.

Poured from a 500mL bottle into a Mikerphone tumbler. Pours a thick and oily black with virtually no head but some coconut floaties. Coconut and chocolate on the nose and taste. Hints of vanilla. Some nuttiness to it. Not a lot of barrel but still pretty good. Definitely on the sweeter side but I expected that. Full mouthfeel. Oily and coats the mouth. Solid.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours an insanely THICK black with absolutely zero head. Look pretty much still. The nose is bursting with almonds, biscuits, chocolate, marshmallow, vanilla icing, powdered sugar, and perhaps a slight note of coconut. Not really getting much barrel on the nose.
The taste is incredible. So much going on here. Burnt toffee, chocolate cake with vanilla icing, oatmeal cookies, almonds, graham crackers, bourbon, and a bit of coconut. This is definitely sweet, but I wouldn't say it's cloying. Really awesome pastry stout!
Mouthfeel is incredibly thick, with a sweet vanilla icing aftertaste.

On tap at GB in Orlando. Served in a stemless wine snifter.
Black pour, no head. Massive sweetness on the nose, coconut and vanilla and milk chocolate. The booze is there too, spirit character and warmth, the coconut leading the way on the palate but with a present nutty dryness as well, assuming that’s from the almonds.
Definitely don’t need more than the 5 ounces I have in my glass. It’s tasty, the coconut is good, partly reminiscent of an almond joy, but that’s really all.
Still, nothing wrong with that.

Bottle to snifter.
Thick black, oily sheen, no head
ameretto, chocolate, bourbon, wood, coconut.
sweet, cocoa and light coconut come through up front. little hints of dark fruit (fig, prune). smooth bourbon rounds out the back end.
syrupy thick and sticky. flat. full body.
Very enjoyable....but I'm only about 6 oz. in at the end of this review with almost double to go. The sweetness will likely get to be too much for me soon.
