Poured from a1 pint, 0.9 oz bottle into a snifter style glass. One finger caramel colored head, with some lacing, rests upon a coal black body of beer. On the nose there is the aroma of coffee, licorice, some coconut and roasted malts. The first sip generates a multi-level taste of coffee, malts, some smoke, anise, plums and coconut, with a muted alcohol kick on the backside. It's a complex Deep Orbit into your tastebuds, then your head, as that 14.4% abv enters the bloodstream. Once finished you crave another, but know it isn't the right move at the moment!
