Hazy cornsilk yellow with legs over thin film; passionfruit, tangerine + candied pineapple on the nose; canned orange slices, mango juice, nectarine, slight gooseberry, arugula, touch of dank; dry, light, salty.

Just shy of 5 weeks in the can.
NZH-109 is pretty new - still in trials; 2025 is only the second harvest year - but early buzz is stone fruit, citrus and tropical with maybe some florals or black pepper.
That tracks: there’s a bunch of bright juice that’s cut by a pungent herbal edge at the end.
Shame, then, that the body is so lacking. OH’s pillowiness is AWOL; this would be light at IPA strength, never mind DIPA.
Add some hop burn, a boozy hit, and heavy chlorides and this is more work than fun.

Interesting single hop, but disappointing execution.

Pours a golden yellow thicky cloudy hazy into a pint glass, head is healthy and foamy.
Nose is faint, but very very dank, not much else. Pungent even. Little bit of rain water.
Interesting taste, muted but still complex. Bit of a standout.
Full bodied mouth feel, a bit foamy.
