A new variant entry in the Snowbirds series. This Imperial Stout is double barrel aged, 10 months in Rum barrels then transferred to Rye whiskey barrels for an additional 14 months. We then took this double barrel magic and conditioned it on wild Thai bananas, toasted walnuts, vanilla and cinnamon to give it a distinct banana nut muffin character.

This is it for me. Doesn’t get much better.

Pours like oil. Zero head. Completely impervious to light. Aroma is rum soaked bananas. Flavor is banana forward, but gentle. I get a banana fosters vibe from it. Missing is the typical chocolate flavor that is the norm for many BA imperial stouts. I get the vanilla, cinnamon is faint, and the walnuts escape me. Still delicious. The feel is insane. Thickest beer I have ever drank. Love it. Overall, this rocks. Hope I bought a backup…
