Who doesn’t love a blend of… hops. Not us, or our friends at New Trail Brewing. This collab with our pals at New Trail has Motueka, Motueka Abstrax, Citra, Citra Abstrax and El Dorado giving distinct notes of sweet orange and lime and blend of complex stone fruits.

This episode begins with a pint can's contents emptied entirely into a clear glass liter mug. An appropriate off-white head was produced, but it didn't last. The brew is lightly yellow-amber and it's decidedly hazy. Only mildly aromatic, it provides some sharp hoppiness, in a piney way. There's a nice sharp piney bite from the first taste and it sustains through the finish. Without much other complexity to taste, this seems like something in the West Coast style, except the body is somwhat smoother than that. Not that its body is remarkable. Yet, there's no malty flavor contribution to it. There's no appreciatable glass lacing, neither. This can be readily appreciated by hop heads, for it does bring a sharply clean piney bite, from beginning to finish. If there's some complexity, with a noticeable malt counterbalance sought, then this falls short.

Enjoyable offering from OH and New Trail. Does everything above average with nice layers of pineapple, lime, mango, tangerine, and orange flesh. Trends towards medium dankness, bitterness, and dryness leading to further pulls. Hints of sweetness linger in the malt bill, but it is a minor attribute here. The Citra additions do not overwhelm here as El Dorado and Motueka are very present as well. Well constructed NEIPA as you'd expect with an Other Half label on the can

Purchased at Bounds in Warrington, PA. Poured chilled from a can dated 3/27/25 into a 16oz pint glass. Appearance is a cloudy hazy straw color with a deep rich 3 finger foamy white head that lingers. Ample lacing on the glass.
Aroma is tropical fruit like mango, pineapple, some citrusy lime.
Taste follows the nose with a burst of juicy citrus, tangerine, lime, mango, and pineapple. Maybe some peach in there.
Mouthfeel is medium and pillowy smooth with ample carbonation. There is a forward sweetness followed by some subtle hop bitterness.
Overall, this is a really really well done craft beer. Leans slightly sweet but this is extremely refreshing and very drinkable. Being from just outside of Philly, y'all did the Scrapple jawn proud.
