Hi, Motueka is a celebration of an OH favorite, Motueka hops. In this case we have 2 versions of this IPA to explore the variances introduced by climate, soil and place. This particular version has Sunrise Valley grown Motueka from the Upper Moutere Valley near Nelson, NZ. Warmer and lower elevation than Nelson Lakes, it has shorter growing season. This lot has subtle sweet tropical notes and round citrus character with less dankness. Compare it to our Nelson Lakes edition of Hi, Motueka to fully understand the the differences.

Pours very hazy bright gold color with a whipped foamy white head that faded very slowly and left excellent lacing. Aroma is muted with tangerine, orange peel, faint lemon, some herbal accents and citrus that’s kind of static - nothing jumps out. Flavor has more zest like grapefruit, papaya and hints of pineapple which give way to the orange and tangerine from the nose. Very low bitterness and mild carbonation made it easy drinking.
