One of our favorite lagers meets one of our favorite hops. Riwaka is a popular lager hop in New Zealand and we wanted to get in on the act.

Interesting combination of hops, make this like a Korean spiced snack beer, or something Asian like that. Unique flavour, still a lager, and light bodied.Active carbonation.

This one pours a golden clear yellow-ish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells peppery and spicy, with lime, grapefruit, and grassy hops.
Riwaka is a fun hop to use for a rice lager – I get a distinctly peppery and firm bitterness here, some light biscuity malt, and a touch of lime and grapefruit peel.
This is very light bodied, clean, crisp, and quite drinkable.
This is a fun series, nothing crazy, but usually well done.
