Poured fridge cold to a new branded Other Half large snifter. Color is a used motor oil brown, roughly glugging out at the same viscosity, with barely any carbonation noted. There are a few random bubbles around the edge. The legs abound, coating and staining the glass. Aroma is subdued, possibly due to the temperature, so I’ll try to let this warm more sufficiently before finishing the review. Mouthfeel is excellent, being dense and coating on the tongue. Initial flavor is intense vanilla, increasing exponentially as it warms. Black truffle starts to poke out with a bit of earthiness, but not grainy or wet barrel like a Blanton’s bourbon aged stout can be (not that I know the barrels used on this). I can’t tell if the caviar is actual fish egg caviar (that I have never eaten before, so have no frame of gustatory reference) or vanilla caviar (which makes more sense and would align with the intense vanilla flavor).
