A:
PoursĀ a thick, opaque black with a finger of tan head that drops to a film. Some wobbly lacing and decent retention. (4)
S:
Sticky-sweet roast/oat aromas, nuts, coffee, maple. (4.25)
T:
Wow! Nutty sweetness, coffee grounds, dark chocolate, creaminess, hint of dark fruits, hard water. (4.5)
M:
Full, velvety body with moderate carbonation and a smooth, rich finish. (4.5)
O:
A truly excellent oatmeal stout.
It pours like motor oil with a nice cap of tan head that sticks around pretty well the aroma and flavor wall hand-in-hand with roasty and sweet flavors layered on one another. It is very smooth and drinkable, rich without burning me out. Especially nice considering its ABV. This is a highly enjoyable beer that reminds me of all I love about the style. I'll definitely seek it out in the future. (4.5)

Opaque pour with a nice thin head that lingers and laces the sides as you consume. The smell is roasted malt and perhaps a little molasses. Taste is sweet, roasted malt with a coffee like finish. Nice medium-full mouthfeel. I'm partial to stouts and this is a good one.

Pours a foamy fizzy thicker 1 finger brownish head, good retention, soapy lacing, basically black color
Nose some roasted malts, plenty of chocolate, cocoa, a bit of roasted coffee, a bit of baking spices, creamy oatmeal, and a bit of caramel,
Taste brings lush creamy cocoa, a bit of roasted malts, coffee, a bit of espresso, more cocoa and dark chocolate, creamy oatmeal maybe lactose chocolate milk, almost fudgey, some bitterness from the roast and a little spicy hop, dryish finish, semi sweet more spicy hop notes
Mouth is fuller bod, creamy thick lush, med carb
Overall a nice oatmeal stout, a bit on the heavier side overly roasty and thick almost like export stout style, but still in the oatmeal stout range

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour with a one finger creamy beige head. Light roasty aroma, chocolate, burnt toast. Taste is bitter, roasty, and dark chocolate. Very creamy and smooth. A real pleasure to drink.

(16 oz can, PKGD 12/05/24; purchased cold single at Pinocchio's a couple nights ago... poured into my Sam Smith's imperial pint)
L: puts up maybe a finger of foam, dark brown and fleeting; deep dark brown liquid... a few specs of lace; little collar lingering... their website currently lists these as the malt components: 2-row, crystal malt, Golden Promise, Maine oats, 'roasted malt'
S: molasses cookie, ground medium-roast coffee, dark chocolate cake, top note of nutty roasted barley... superb intensity
T: bready malt and robust roastiness amplified; peppery/charred bitterness (like a steak), espresso-like roast dominating the aftertaste... getting into it, just wave after wave of electric-shock acidity, but the malt mush below meets its intensity
F: fairly milky/oily in texture, with some soft residual viscosity in the finish, but clipped at the back of the palate with a peppery, acidic heat via the roast/hops and blooming booze
O: pretty excellent, rippingly roasty stout, reminiscent of SN Stout or Ed Fitz's characteristics... overall, not what I'd consider a true-to-form oatmeal stout, due to its aggressive bite, but I can discern the oat influence through the attack... would love to have this again; scratches an itch (2407)
