A flanders-style red ale whose production has spanned nearly 18 months, beginning with a fermentation and rest in an oak foeder for a year, then joined by 300lbs of cherries from Berry Fruit Farm in Livermore Falls, and 150lbs of Milo blueberries from Worcester’s Farm. As the beer developed, it became apparent that cherries had to be added. The almond character from the pits and beautiful tartness take the beer to new levels, all anchored by a firm tannic backbone from the blueberries.
