A highly drinkable beer sure to satisfy in all seasons. English crystal malt is countered nicely by a good dose of spicy Golding hops and a satisfyingly dry finish. This is a gently hop-forward beer balanced by notes of light caramel and honey.

I had this on-tap in a taster glass at the brewery. This was listed as 4.8% the day I tried it.
Appearance: rich amber-orange hue with a thin layer of ivory foam atop. There is no haze at all to the body; I like it.
Smell: lightly caramelly and toasty aroma, but quite subtle. Not bad, but maybe the volume could be turned up a bit.
Taste: toasty and caramelly, with a little sweetness and a little bit of biscuity character. Not too bad, but I could do without some of the biscuit.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a huge, well-integrated carbonation and giant creaminess. My favorite part of this beer!
Overall: a pretty drinkable ESB. Maybe a bit biscuity for my taste, but overall not a bad example of the style.
