Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. The stamp on the can is hard to read, but I think it says 6/6/23, which was only a couple days ago. I got the can at the brewery, so it's possible it's just that fresh!

Appearance: golden hue with a clear body and a nice effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy ivory foam; looks nice!

Smell: malt is quite sweet with a dose of earthy hops, slightly dank and slightly piney. Not bad, although there's a bit too much sweetness here for my taste.

Taste: once again, malt is sweet, with a dose of earthy hops that have a bit more citrus character than the aroma. There's some bitterness here, but overall, I think this beer is a bit imbalanced toward the sweeter, syrupier end of the scale.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess for an IPA.

Overall: a bit too sweet for me, as I said, although that does seem to add some smoothness to the body. A reasonable enough IPA.

16oz can served in a stemless angular wineglass. Dated 06/09/22. Got it from a CSA picked up at Brewmasters Taproom. This listing currently shows it as 5.7%, but my can says 6.3%, so something has changed.

Pours clear orange-gold with about an inch of medium-density head that collapses to a rich meniscus that might be a centimeter high on the edges and a millimeter thick in the center. Smell is fairly mild, pine resin and honeysuckle.

Taste is honeysuckle floral sweetness with a clean pine bite on the finish.

Mouthfeel is light and clean. This is a nice beer.

Handsome clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Troubadour tulip. Malty with a substantial body. Has that "musty" taste that I like, some kind of nutty malt thing. Then moderately sweet and quite fruity. A touch of mango, a little orange, and a woody note.

This is really quite good, plus it's out of the usual citrus and juice orbit of so many IPAs. There is more wood and berries with that long interesting musty nose, and even a little butter. Purchased at From the 16 oz can, dated 06/24/21 on the bottom.
