Thick, really, over thick head. Smell of citrus. Taste good, but nothing special.
2nd bottle: maybe I got a bad 6 pack, but this beer seems to be way over carbonated. Smell n flavor is fine, but the foam.....

June '17 draft - pours a cloudy gold, hazy appearance. Fruity/citrussy nose. Earthy mouthfeel. Light hop bite at the close. Mellowed malt. The grains of paradise are definitely present. Inches towards the summer Sam taste but not as sweet.

The beer appears with a faintly hazy, gold-colored body and sports a very thick, frothy, white head (3.75). The smell presents a nice citrus and floral bouquet; musky (3.75). The flavors blend well, combining well-balanced sensations of roasted and caramel flavored grains with an apricot-like fruitiness with a smooth, sustaining hop bitterness (4.0). Medium-light body; juicy and smooth mouthfeel (3.75).
I'm not sure what the 'Grains of Paradise' actually contributed to my impressions of this beer, and I didn't really get any 'peppery finish' noted on the bottle label, but I did find the beer to be quite enjoyable all around. The beer strikes a nice balance between hoppy aroma and bitterness with a juicy, mildly sweet maltiness. Recommended.
