June '17 - on tap. Pours light copper with a white ring of foam. Mostly wheaty nose. Clean taste, the wheat grains come through. Quick buzz from carbonation and then finishes light and tasty. Nice starter.

Bottle poured into pilsner glass with no date apparent.
A: clean light gold color, finger head that dissipated rapidly.
S: crisp malt, light biscuit
T: nothing offensive, like a better version of a classic light lager
M: refreshing and thirst quenching
O: I could drink this anytime

This is really not a bad American-style wheat, not that the competition is so fierce. Main drawback is the somewhat coarse carbonation that dissipates more rapidly than it should.
Pale amber in the Duvel tulip. Not much head. Ends up nearly flat before the glass is drained. Best feature is the hint of apricots. Since the brewery doesn't mention fruit, it must be some kind of ester from the wheat malt. In any case, it's the redeeming feature of this pale beer. If they could give it some creamy carbonation you might think it was a delicate stone fruit concoction. Not much aroma, but that slight fruity nose is OK. Fairly bitter aftertaste but no hop flavor.
From the 12 oz bottle bought at Grapevine Liquors in Denver.

Pours a cloudy, maize color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Poor retention and poor lacing. Smells of pale malt, wheat, slight sweet malt, and hops. Fits the style of an American Pale Wheat Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, sweet malt, hint of earthy malt, hops, and a hint of wheat. Overall, weak appearance, but decent blend and feel.

A - Very little white soapy head. Brew is clear yellow.
S - Smells like a pale.. Not too much other then corn. Very few wheat essences.
T - Whoa. Plain. Tastes like Bud.
M - Over carbonation. Dry and bitter, like a Germain brew.
O - Not the best of brews... There has to be better Pale Wheats out there... Come on Rockyard, I know you're capable of good brew, step-it-up.

As American Wheat Ales don't normally capture the essence of American brewing or Wheat Ale brewing very well, unfortunately this beer carries much of the same weight.
It's murky dirty-golden color and muddled sheen causes the beer to have an overall unappealing appearance. Largely fizzy in the head department, the foam is very short-lived and only emphasized the beer's dull look. It's not winning me over in the aesthetic department.
The aromas seem to be of "an ale". End of story, but the beer might have wheat, might be English, might not... Richly malted and with a low emphasis on hops, the beer's sweet scent carries fruity notes of bruised apples, bruised peaches, mangos, and appricots. Bready and yeasty, but of the stale varieties- the beer is tough to pin down judging aroma only.
Flavors don't fare much better. Non-descript malts give a strangely biscuity/bready sweetness that might be loosely tied to caramel. Non-descript fruitiness seems English in character but just takes the shape of bruised fruit. Stale grains, low-lying herbal (tea-like) hops, and mild acidity come together in an odd ale-like flavor but with no real identity.
Medium bodied, but the lack of carbonation and malty weight gives slightly higher weight on the tongue. The malty weight carries through the mid palate and into finish without much change. A late acidic feel and alcohol sensation signals the finish, and with an ending of malt and mint.
Overall, this beer doesn't fare well. But with no fatal errors in brewing (only multiple mildly significant flaws in recipe formulation, brewing technique, and durability), the beer is a worthwhile study in beer flavor.

Slated as a pale filtered wheat, this either needs more wheat or changed to a Vienna lager ;)
It's a nice beer, but to style it misses. The wheat is just underpowering. It looks clean and pale golden. Soft, small head. Aroma is somewhat sweet malt, very faint citrus and zest.
Clean taste, soft biscuit malt. Perhaps some watered down pear. Semi-sweet, but not husky.
Somewhat snappy finish. I would have thought it's a VLager as it's aftertaste shows a bit clingy. Again, not a bad beer at all...just a very very pale wheat
