Poured from a twelve ounce can, the body is a dark black with a light tan head. Very good lacing throughout the tasting.

Aroma features fresh roast coffee and light notes of sweet chocolate.

Taste follows nose and the coffee is nicely complimented by a bitter char flavor which should thrill espresso and dark roast fans. A bit of lactose after swallow provides an easy finish. No overly sweet tones in the taste.

Good mouthfeel and carbonation make this one an excellent choice for coffee, coffee stout and stout fans.

Poured from a 12-oz can into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass.

Appearance: Black, with a one-inch tan head that lingered long and left considerable lacing.

Nose: Dark roast, coffee, and some cooked sugar sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Creamy

Attack: Follows the nose, dark roast, heavy on the coffee/espresso, a little oatmeal, just enough sweetness to balance.

Finish: Nice balance with bitterness primarily from the dark roast.

Overall: This is a winner — one of my favorite milk stouts, from one of my favorite breweries.

Solid black appearance with v a thin tan head.
Medium light carbonation with a just above average body.
Aroma is espresso, coffee beans, malt, roasted malt, some dark chocolate and char.
Taste is very similar to aroma with a very mild sweetness. Plenty of dark coffee bitterness, roasted malt and dark bakers chocolate.
Overall an excellent beer that I will seek out again

This is a solid example of milk stout. The espresso part makes it extra creamy but still has a medium to full body. Overall a really solid offering and wouldn't mind having in the future.

Canned on 12/21/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip.

Pours almost black; creamy khaki head that falls leaving nice retention and sticky lacing.

The aromas have a nice amount of roasted coffee leading the way. Hints of chocolate. Malts are there.

The flavors follow the nose. More coffee leading the way. More chocolate. Nice blend of dark chocolate and milk chocolate. Mild hints of vanilla. Lactose does its thing. Solid bitterness to go along with a decent sweetness. Solid malt backbone. Alcohol goes unnoticed.

Mouthfeel is great. It's medium-bodied with moderate to low carbonation. It's velvety, creamy fluffy and smooth.

This is a really nice "espresso milk stout". The coffee shines. The craftsmanship is on point. Well done. I really like it.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had soothing coffee and roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with espresso base and subtle cocoa notes. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

22 oz. bomber bottle poured into a pint glass. Heavy black color poured with 2 fingers of head. Smell of chocolate and expression, maybe hint of vanilla. Tastes of heavy expresso, light mouth feel as it is a milk stout. I enjoyed it a lot.

22 oz shared bottle.
Clear but near black, reddish-brown body with a decent beige head.
Lots of coffee in the aroma and flavor, with less dominance in the flavor. Excellent quality dark and medium roast coffee component mixes well with dark chocolate notes and dark bread.
Feel: Smooth, medium body with light carbonation.
