12oz bottle from recent Wolf's Ridge 2nd Anniversary release, 09/30/2017.
Whiskey looking liquid, brown with an orange hue, thin rim of foam, no lacing.
Spices, bourbon, oak, subtle yam. A nice combo or aromas with a mellow spiced bourbon fragrance emanating from the snifter.
The taste follows and really brings together the bourbon with a nice spiced backbone, oak, yam/pumpkin roast and caramel.
Medium to full body, smooth, a bit undercarbed but nice for such a combination of flavors.
Wolf's Ridge really brings the combination of barrel and spices together with a nice bitter/sweet mix that works perfectly with the pumpkin. I am not a huge pumpkin fan and this brew for me captures what I think is a perfect mix of flavors in a BA pumpkin brew.
