Berliner Weisse w/ hibiscus

With Pride - everything we do, we do it with pride and this Berliner Weisse is no exception. Carefully crafted with our standard, meticulous attention to detail, then finished with flair. Gently tart, a touch floral, and as beautiful to the eye as it is the palette.

Sampled on tap at SingleSpeed, Waterloo, IA; served in a snifter. Pours a rather lilac-tinged pale golden color, with a decent white head. Good retention. Lovely aromas of lemon and pomegranate, with a wild floral overtone. This is well balanced, not too sweet and just the right amount of tartness. Finish is dry and slightly astringent, with lingering fruity and floral notes. Overall, an excellent beer.

This beer is everything I wished it would be and more. Beautiful pillowy head with pretty good retention. Tart without the overwhelming wave of sweetness found in many others. Rosy golden, not pretty in pink. Refreshing and brightly tart. Nice malt body underplaying it all.
