Nimble Series offering number two displays influence from the Nordic country of Norway. Our friends at Omega Yeast (Chicago, IL) provided us an aromatically intense Norwegian strain (Hornindal Kveik). Once on location, we encouraged Hornindal to play with a hop blend featuring Denali, Cascade and Chinook. What ensued is best categorized as a beauty of a fermentation party, subsequently landing on quite the liquid creation. Enjoy, and as always, stay nimble.

Poured cold from a 12-ounce can into a tulip glass. Nice burst of hop aromas upon popping the can open and a harbinger of things to come. Appearance leaves nothing to be desired: clear, pale amber colored body, with a couple of fingers of bright white long-lasting head that leaves behind lots of spotty lacing. The tropical fruit character of this is insane: big aromas and flavors of tangerine, mango, and pineapple, with undertones of pine and citrus zest. While not a brut per se, it seems to be very well attenuated. Moderately bitter at 48 IBUs, with a crisp and dry finish and only a soupçon of citrus juice lingering on the aftertaste. Very well made, hits all the right notes. Get it while you can!

Has a pleasant look of amber when viewed in glass. Slightly fruity aroma when you first taste, then ends with a large dose of bitterness to the tongue. A ver hoppy flavor that can help or hinder the drinkability depending on the individual.
