Nimble Series offering 004 brings together a few of our favorite independent flavors. The single origin coffee (Guatemala) stands center stage, but there is more to the tale of this Milkshake-Inspired-IPA than simply iced coffee. Fruity hop notes and a cool cocoa, vanilla, and lactose driven sweetness work with the locally roasted coffee to create a beer that is fully equipped to prance with the beasts and parade every night. Won’t you come out to play?
Hops: Mosaic, Huell Melon
Malts: Brewer's Two Row, White Wheat, Caramel 10L
Yeast: American Ale

Not much milkshake there. Aroma is coffee and citrus hops. I taste bitter hops and coffee. Really, the dominant taste is bitter coffee. This isn’t a very rounded beer. And I’m a coffee drinker.

A thin, soft, white head in a straw color. Smells of hop, malt, very slight coffee bean. The tast comes together well. Goid citrus and pine bitterness with malt balance. Coffee infusion a welcome addition.

Good beer! As with lots of coffee IPAs, however, it can verge on the taste of coffee breath. Nearly no roast notes on the nose, however, but by no means a completely clean nose. Taste is.... pretty good. It's definitely got balance, so I rate it highly for that reason. Feel great though, very satisfying mouthfeel. I enjoyed this beer but probably wont buy it again unless it goes on a good sale. My least favorite single speed beer so far.

Unique and delicious, with diverse elements that work well together. Poured from 12-ounce can into a soda fountain glass, because why not? Slightly hazy, dark yellowish-orange in color, with a three-finger eggshell colored head that left lots of pretty lacing. Reminiscent of a West Coast IPA, with big hop aromas and flavors of pine, citrus, and tropical fruit. Malt is not overpowering. It's the added elements that make this interesting. Subdued notes of cocoa and vanilla, with a subtle coffee flavor coming through as the beer warms. Hop bitterness plays nicely with the notes of dark roasted coffee bean. Good carbonation, medium body, and a mostly dry finish round out the profile. Grab this one while you can!

A beautiful, crystal clear, clean brass-colored beer with 1 finger of head. However I thought milkshake ipas were supposed to be super cloudy?! I love the flavor...great coffee nuance with fruit notes, similar to Ethiopian yirgacheffe(sp). Smell is similar with lemon, berry and coffee. Mouthfeel has a little boozy note to it, kind of like barrel aging. This surprised me and would have been off putting if it was any stronger, as it is it was interesting. Tasty, but maybe not to style.
