Nimble Series #014
Human hugs. Not exactly easy to come by as of late. Tree hugs however, always safe territory by our standards. This edition of the Nimble Series was lovingly crafted with one of the most huggable breweries in the business, our good friends Gezellig Brewing (Newton, IA). Stand up and prepare yourself for one big tropical and citrusy embrace.

Loved almost everything I’ve had from SingleSpeed and Gezellig. Not this one. It’s okay, but just plain mediocre. The appearance is lovely and the smell suggests bright juicy hops but lacks oomph. The taste is dominated by red ale flavors (caramel malt?) and generally tastes stale. This shouldn’t be though, since it was canned less than 3 weeks ago. Sitting in the glass a while, the aroma degrades to match the flavor. Disappointing. Not at all citrusy.

4-pack of cans from John’s poured into SingleSpeed tulip. Nice head and haze. Medium tropical flavor but balance over knock you out. Not bitter.
