Sometimes it makes sense to pay special attention to the little guys. March Madness is definitely one of those occasions. Brewed w/ bracket busters in mind, this offering is powerful in hop character, yet gentle in ABV.

Can from John’s poured into glass on the porch. Outstanding head. Opaque. Not a ton on the nose. Enjoyable pale ale.

This is a dandy! On tap at Whiskey Road, Cedar Falls, IA; served in a snifter. Light golden-colored pour, with a thick snow-white head. Great retention, with lots of pretty lacing as it settled. Big aromas and flavors of pine, grapefruit, and citrus zest, with a faint note of light bread and caramel in the background. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side. Crisp, clean, and bitter, with a dry finish. This made for a wonderful pairing with Whiskey Road's bison burger. It's refreshing and easy drinking, yet holds its own with hearty and mildly spicy food. Is it a West Coast Pale Ale? Sure tastes like it to me, and that's not a bad thing!
