Served from a side-pull tap at the brewery; presented in a "snulip" tasting glass. Beautiful pour: chestnut brown color, with ruby highlights and a thick, pillowy white head that left a sheet of lacing as it settled. Intense and flavorful, with notes of dark bread, char, and prune. Bitterness obtains from the first sip to the crisp finish. This is one outstanding beer that gets my highest recommendation.
