Basic, modern, Spartan interior. Easy to talk with the tap keeper. They have some German styles, mixed in and the beers are serviceable.

Came here during a recent work trip to Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Tried the following:
Tin Whiskers Daisy Chain Saison (flight sample)
Tin Whiskers Flip Switch IPA (flight sample)
Tin Whiskers Short Circuit Stout (flight sample)
Tin Whiskers Wave 2 West Coast IPA (flight sample)
Beers ranged from serviceable to good. Wide range of styles on offer. Casual, laid back atmosphere in the taproom with the brewing tanks clearly visible from the bar. Love the robot theme. Service was just okay as the bartender grabbed my drinks promptly and then disappeared after that, and I had to wait a while to pay my bill. My overall experience was average, and I'm not sure I'd come back.

Downtown St. Paul. Nice vibe. Chill. Games. Nice people. Beer is good and usually true to style. Everytime i go it gets just a bit better. Can get food from neighboring places.

Not far from Lowertown/Downtown in St. Paul. I like the setup for this taproom. It shares a hallway/doorway with a great Thai place. They have menus for that place and a pizza joint around the corner. Lots of big, long tables for groups. The bartenders were helpful. They have a good digital board with prices and sizes of their pours. Good beer a with a nice selection.

I like the feel and look of this place. Wide open warehouse with the fermenters in clear view, no glass separation of nothin'. Smells like fresh beer, which is always good. Service was super slow. I sat down at the end of the bar and watched about five people get served before me at the other end, even though I arrived before them. The IPA I had was very average.
They had some interesting stuff on draft but not a huge variety. 8 taps. IPA, Pilsner, saison, wheat, wheat wine, coffee stout and maple syrup blueberry stout. I would have liked to try the blueberry stout but they only served it in 10oz servings or less, at 5.8% abv.

sometimes its hard to accurately reflect the worth of a brewery with the limited ranking categories here. this is one of those places that doesnt necessarily score real high on the numbers, but provided an awesome overall experience with quality beer and nice people. its name is some electrical engineer or electrician speak, thats who started this place. cool older looking building with the bar in the center of the large room with the brew house working right behind it. there are tables all around it, with windows basically surrounding the building, lots of natural light in here. they had about eight beers pouring, with my favorite easily being the wheatstone bridge, with chamomile tea and honey in a wheat base, really good. the stout and the saison were also nice, and they had a citrus infused version of the saison that was perfect for summer. well executed and interesting enough lineup i thought. they were pretty busy when i was in, but the bartenders were all very attentive and quick. it gets a little loud in here when its busy, maybe not a bad idea to look into some acoustic treatments, but the beer is good and the space is fun and original. the pint cans they put out look cool too.

Only beer I found appealing was the Flip Switch IPA. They have 3 different varieties of it, but the regular is the only one I tried. The Ampre Amber was good as well and had a nice malty taste. The Wheatstone Bridge was probably the worst of the ones I tried.

Cool building, but they only had 5 beers on tap 3 of which were different versions of the same IPA. No stouts, porters, reds. The service was mediocre at best. The beer was nothing special, I bought a growler of their Wheatstone Bridge and it had about a half inch of honey residue on the bottom. I doubt I'll go back or seek out their beers in the future

*I know I reviewed Tin Whiskers previously, but it was deleted for some reason? It was a written review, if rating was a "deviation."*
Clean and comfortable taproom downtown (lots of nearby parking), with all their brewing equipment nestled behind the bar in the same open, high ceiling room. I love it when I can smell the barley in a taproom.
Service was slow considering how dead they were, particularly with two tenders and no lines. Had 6 standards on tap, a couple of infusions and a cask option. Had a flight, and most everything was very middle of the road (I have heard the beer has improved some since they started bottling, however). The barrel shifter was a tasty yet easy-drinking distraction from the rest of the lineup, but even the infusions were one-note. Might revisit if in the area.

Tin Whiskers has kind of a Chipotle-like stainless decor. Everything is in the same room, so you are greeted by brewing smells upon entering. There are a couple large tables with a number of smaller tables plus a bar, which seemed to be adequate for the Friday afternoon traffic. Orders are taken at the bar. I think there were 9-10 options on tap including seasonals, experiments and a cask selection. Of the 6 or so I tried there were a few beers that I thought were quite good (a fruit-infused wheat beer, a dry-hopped cask IPA, and the stout), while the others were pretty drinkable. A buddy stated that in his opinion the beer quality had improved significantly since their opening. As an added bonus there are a couple of good food options nearby. Look forward to going back!

Tin Whiskers definitely exceeded my expectations. Great downtown location and ambience with an epic mural of a robot and attention to detail keeping the electrical theme throughout. You can see the brewing equipment but everything is so open and clean that it feels like a nice sports bar. The beers were reasonably priced and all of them were good! Surprisingly honed in for such a young brewery. Their selection covered the most common varieties, but each was slightly unique and very well-balanced. Short Circuit and Wheat Bridge were my two favorites. Definitely will return again.
