Very carbonated, poured with a lot of foam. Once the foam settles it’s a light, floral and deceptively strong saison. My Belgian wife says “The best Irish saison I’ve ever had”

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7%. Pale golden colour, huge white head. Spicy, yeasty and somewhat soapy aroma. Dry and yeasty flavour, with mild spicy notes. Moderate hops. Not bad, but a bit too yeasty for my taste.

500ml bottle from Paul's Off License, Donegal Town (€3.25):
Fresh & lively, the beer is quite tang too with some funk & tart coming through but it's lighter in that regard than normal for a saison. It's a strongly carbonated offering with plenty of Belgian yeast & a nice citrus taste too but further on I got a combination of banana, clove & even some bubblegum that made it seem like a wheat beer at points around the middle. Nice stuff from the brewery & a solid saison, one that I enjoyed probably because the tart & sourness weren't quite as strong as I'd have expected from the style though.

Pours a hazy honey/gold colour. Smells light, crisp, saison/farmhouse ale smell (banana, yeast, etc.). Highly carbonated, tangy, crisp, clean; very much how you would want a REAL saison to taste. Great in its simplicity.

this beer is NOT retired, it's back. pale golden very frothy head. Interesting aroma of malt, pepper and hops, smells like an old hop pocket. Strong flavour, touch of caramel with perhaps a little too much citrus and lots of hops. A good beer - best served cold, packs quite a punch too !
