Easy pour creates a thick white head that will overflow the Tree House Teku if I'm not careful.
The color is clear gold and nice but unremarkable in the overall scope of things. Has some thin carbonation lines that excitedly travel upwards. The head takes a while to settle into a spotty thin layer and stays that way for the duration. Very nice. This leaves some lacing but not as much as I would expect for a head that takes a good few minutes to recede. Overall a really great appearance.
Nose, I guess I should have mentioned, was sour from the get-go (bottle opening, then pouring) - but I'll be damned if I can tell you exactly what was in there. Didn't smack me in the face as with other sours I've had, but it was there, and not going away.
Same with the taste - it followed the nose and was strong and sour. Really sour in the back corners of my mouth - puckeringly-so - stick your tongue out, quench your cheeks, make wierd faces at your better half, or the mirror, or whomever happens to be around - because this one is really damn sour. Really nice. Again - I can't tell you what's in there - could be any type of "elderflower" - but I loved it as I do all of their beers thus far. As one other reviewer said, maybe this would make a good "base beer" for another fruited sour but I enjoyed this as it was immensely. Eventually I'll get sick of these stream of consciousness reviews too, but for now, that's all I've got folks. Thanks for listening, or sorry, I'm not sure which one...! Cheers anyhow!

I think I'll be seeking more of these sours! Definitely balanced.

this was an extra from a swap or BIF box or something from a while ago...came with a hive teku as well. brew was pretty impressive. nose has a really nice floral honey thing going on. oak is there as well and the taste pops too...very tasty and approachable sour that leads wit honey and flowers.

Really nice, but not among my favorites from Plan Bee. More sour than tart, with a very creamy feel. Beautiful golden straw color with a tall, quickly dissipating head. It seems like Plan Bee only makes good beers.

A: A hazy, straw color. A nice amount of carb on this one.
S: The typical Plan Bee funk. Some lemon peel and a light floral elderflower.
T: Woah, a large amount of funk and that nice citrus taste. An aggressive tartness that gets washed away with the oak dryness.
M: Not to thin, kind of creamy with the amount of carb.
O: Well I wasn't sure how this one would do with me, but it's awesome. Evan and Emily are killing it in the sour game. This one is a nice brew.

Holy harsh. Like a young lambic on steroids, and with carb. Might actually make a nice blending beer--there's a lot going on in the beer once you get past the lactic acid. With any luck this beer will soften over time as the brett starts to take over. But as is, you gotta love tart to love this beer.
