12.7 oz bottle, traded to me by some random BIF'er I don't even remember (fuck that community in general)
Poured into Odell Teku
Nice hazy golden color with zero head. A couple maybe three bubbles on the sides.
Tart lemon aromas on the nose, resembling lemon bars and some floral notes following. The robustness of the aroma can be attributed to the oak wine barrel and the lazy chardonnay notes buried within the beer. Slight mulberry.
Flavor follows with lemon bar and tangy mineral; some mulberry cidery notes and floral notes in the form of petals which reflects the description on the bottle. Again, oak/chardonnay is not out front but it embodies the robustness of the overall profile which boosts it up to more detectable levels. Very tart, very zing-y, battery-like; with oak character. Moderately complex.
Feel is moderately prickly and carbonated with oak foeder dryness and some mild alcohol heat. Mild dryness finishes this category out.
Overall, I expected more from this beer but overall it has some great points. Not something I'd seek out or trade for, but it was nice to try.
