Aroma is dank/grassy hops and, oddly, Doritos. The flavor is light grapefruit, Doritos, fruit, hop resin and a bitter/slightly tangy finish.

Drain pour, sadly.
Was super excited to try out this 32oz growler, picked up at HyVee.
Pours nearly dead flat, just a few thin bubbles. No lacing or head formation.
Aroma is off. A hoppy character is trying to fight through, but diacetyl and big yeast esters overwhelm.
On the palate this is thin, buttery, and spicy. Unpleasant.
If it wasn't clear that there was at least a decent beer hiding through the fermentation and bottling/growlering mess, I'd give up. But Kalona seriously needs to clean up their act. The fermentation went way wrong on this, and their growler fill solution clearly isn't working (and is astoundingly overpriced).

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
