Can from Northside Oktoberfest in a Box, enjoyed a week later kayaking on Upper Iowa River. A little maltier/stronger than I prefer in a marzen

This is a wonderful octoberfest lager. A great combination of caramel malt Hops & Spices. This one goes down incredibly smooth with a nice medium body one of the better ones I've had this year.

I found this at Hy Vee in Ames on sale for $3.99 per six-pack of 16 oz tallboys. In the glass it presents as a copper colored, clear lager that kicked up a good, but quickly dissipating head. The body is somewhat thin, the nose non-descript. The taste is malty-sweet, but without any distinctive or apparent character. Lightly hopped. I'm normally an ale guy, so maybe I'm no expert here but if I had to make a comparison I'd say it reminds me somewhat of Dos Equis. Overall I found it a little underwhelming, mostly due to the rapidly disappearing head.
