I think easy to drink would be the best way to describe this beer. It tastes great and I could easily have another after my first. Not overpowering, but not weak either.

L: Pours a dark copper amber color with a small white head that dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing.
S: Crusty baked bread, strong note of caramel and toffee, a nice nuttiness underneath, slightly floral hoppiness underneath.
T: Crusty baked bread, a strong sweet note of caramel and toffee, followed by a nice earthy nuttiness, balanced out by a slightly earthy and floral hop character. Very nice, but maybe a touch sweet.
F: Medium body and smooth carbonation.
O: This is a very enjoyable ESB.

Re reviewing this on tap at Chick N Beer OKC.
Pours to thin white head that persists and laces a bit witb a little swirling. Aroma is classic British specialty malts giving a toasty, bready character when fermented with British ale yeast. Flavor is classic pale ale/bitter with crisp toasted bread crust, light caramel and clean pale ale malts with bracingly earthy hop bitterness and flavor. Mouthfeel is spot on. Overall, a satisfying and accurate ESB/EPA. Cheers!

endless skyway bitter, a nice take on an esb, and a better example of a style not enough american craft breweries are bothering with, which is a real shame. this is a rich malty english ale, where the grains are dense and sweet and bready, and the yeast is pizza doughy and earthy, its a nice combination, and the beer has a lot of character. i got my bottle a little dusty from a warm shelf, and it has definitely undergone a little oxidation, but i never really mind that in an english beer like this, and i think the malt is bold enough to not really be derailed by it. nutty and sweet at the same time, with just a light offsetting hop bitterness at the end. simple but well proportioned and well made. i had the imperial version of this awhile back, and this gives me a greater appreciation for that one. there arent enough good american esb types out there, so this immediately jumps to near the top of the heap, and has me pretty interested in other black mesa beers. i will look for them next time i am out that way, this was tasty and quite autumnal!

Slightly dark for the style, smell is nice caremel malt, corn and light grassiness. Taste is a bit roasty and has an odd vegatle flavor. Nice light to medium body. This is just a bit odd for an esb, but not bad just differnt.

Not a fan. The first few sips were okay but struggled to finish the pint. I normally really like this style, but this one was rough.

Beautiful Amber color. Just a little lighter than a brown. Nice thick head. Smells malty with lots of caramel. I can't discern the type of hops: it's not flowery, so mostly all I'm getting is the bitterness, which is just a hair more than I would prefer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Weizen glass. L: full two finger head fades slowly. Good lacing. Copper, clear, nice looking beer. S: toffee, barley sugar maltiness. Brown bread toast. T: herbal hops, bread maltiness presents after the bitters fade. F: crisp and dry. A bit more carbonation than necessary. O: Well balanced aroma and taste. Very good beer to enjoy year round. One of my more favorite ESB's.
