Half-pint served at the Okinawa Brewing Company Mihama Cafe in American Village.
L: Golden yellow-red with a very light bone-white thin head; faded quickly. The beer is very carbonated and has slight pink undertones under light.
S: A real bouquet of aromas coming from this one. It's very bright and citrusy, with sweet floral-like undertones like spring buds and wildflowers. There's a pretty distinct citrus blended aroma with a candy-like sweetness.
T: Slightly sticky sweetness, like a jolly rancher. Pinch of citrus and hops on the back of the tongue, light pilsner malt present upfront and balanced. That first shock of sweet and sticky starts to fade with every sip, leaving it mellow, drinkable, and very tasty.
F: Very bubbly, almost like pop. A sticky, not-quite-viscous-but-almost mouthfeel with a residual sweet aftertaste of citrus candies.
O: Very good beer, another local favorite that pretty well embodies what Island beer is in my mind. I wouldn't get a growler of this stuff, but I'd definitely recommend a try.
