Brewed with lemon juice and zest, coriander and sea water from Brave Boat Harbor in Jittery to bring attention to the conservation of clean water in Maine. A light hand with hops creates a refreshing, tart and bring wheat beer.

The concerns of most American drinkers regarding Goses are inchoerent. We don't know what the style is supposed to be like, and so our complaints are just idiot nonsense.
This one is brewed with a hearty amount of lemon juice, which I'm pretty sure isn't traditional but whatever. It leans more toward a good hefe than most of American goses, and it's way different from the good German ones I've had, too. But it still works really well.
Starts with white pepper and bananas, moving into a pleasantly sour lemony middle that you wouldn't think would go with the hefe nodes, but it does. Then it finishes smooth and lightly salty. The body really makes the beer; it's thick and creamy without getting slimy or weird, like the best German hefes.
I like it quite a bit.

This had a lot of banana in the nose and taste and the salt really didn't shine through. The beer wasn't sour at all either it was just ok but if I were not told it was a gose Ai would have bet money it was a Hef.

Thanks Kegatron for sharing this with me. My first offering by Todd since he abandoned ship at Portsmouth. I cant remember the presentation on this (didnt write it down) but think it was a growler into a snifter. The brew appears a golden copper color with a white head.
The smell is fruity and strangely reminiscent of root beer for some reason? A faint coriander note mixed with clove as it warms up.
The taste has some candy-like sweetness than clove and a savory/saline addition. Hardly any perceived tartness.
This has a light creamy feel to it with moderate carbonation. This is a very interesting take on the style which I think missed the mark a little or perhaps was compromised in some way due to the super weird root beer character.

This did not strike me as a gose. Reminded me more of a white ipa. A lot of spice in the nose, no salt and not tart at all.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of light hops with wheat and cloves with some other spices.
