Some IPAs taste like you're running through a field of hops naked, covered in glue. One time was enough for us. So we made ours balanced and fully-clothed, with notes of pineapple, cedar, tangerine, and mango.

From the brewery, printed on the can:
"Some IPAs taste like you're running through a field of hops naked, covered in glue. One time was enough for us. So we made ours balanced and fully-clothed, with notes of pineapple, cedar, tangerine, and mango."
This is, indeed, a well-crafted and well-balanced IPA. Their description is spot- on with all of the above-mentioned "notes" absolutely coming through.
HOWEVER, I actually prefer the alternative--the running naked through the hop field covered in glue.
So, while this beer is good, it is a little too balanced, a little to tame for my lupulin-loving taste buds.
If you prefer your IPAs 'fully clothed,' by all means this is a solid brew for you!
Cheers!

I had this beer on-tap in a shaker half-pint at the brewery.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a light haze and a thin layer of ivory foam.
Smell: lightly sweet malt with a dash of floral hoppiness. Not too bad.
Taste: quite floral, with a sweetish malt base that has a light toastiness. Reminds me more of a pale ale than an IPA. Not bad, really, but not quite what I expect in the style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a decent beer, but not aptly described as an IPA, IMHO.

Nothing special here, very light, below average for an IPA.

L: Light amber color with nice head and nice lacing on the drink down.
S: Nice hoppy aroma.
T: Really enjoyed the taste. Nice bitterness with only 6.3% ABV.
F: Medium mouthfeel.
O: I enjoyed this beer and will repeat if I can find it again. This one punched at Who Foods in Greensboro.

Too sweet and thin for my tastes. Comes off like a cross between a not-hop-forward (hop backward?) pale ale and a dessert wine. Ponysaurus is cool place to visit if you're in Durham, but this is not one of the main attractions.
