Well shit, according to this Next Glass owned subsidiary, this place is closed. Bummer, never went, but did have this beer during a visit to North 5th. 1st review of this beer for this :( place. Run 'er into the ground captain!
Pours like a standard pale ale, not a ton of clarity, but coconut will do that sometimes. 1/4" white head over a golden body. The aroma ticks coconut and golden waves of grain. Doesn't hit any hoppy notes, they exchanged coconut for aroma hops I guess. Or maybe they went with hops that allegedly smell like coconut (haven't really agreed with that agricultural meets commercial tug job, but whatever).
The taste is much the same way, comes off just as much as if it could be a cream or blonde ale. Some grain and coconut. Its pretty simple and much like a smash beer, but with coconut instead of a single malt single hop combo. I think if you dig on coconut you should give it a try.
