I had no idea how to categorize this beer, The brewery lists it as a "Tequila Barrel Aged Cerveza with Agave and Lime. and a quote about it from their FB page:
"A little about the beer:
-a few months ago we purchased Tequila barrels from Colorado. After the long journey across the border, we filled them with a light Cerveza (beer). Our brewer then brewed another identical batch and added agave and fresh lime in the boil. When he felt both batches were aged to the perfect balance, he blended the two together, much like they do when making spirits. This inspired beer was brewed to kick off the beautiful summer months ahead of us"
I bought a growler to give it a shot, nervous that it would just be a better version of Bud Light Lime or similar. I was very pleasantly surprised and polished off the growler way quicker than I should have.IT's an extremely drinkable beer and would be great sitting on the deck once the temps here start to warm up.
