a neat chicha type beer here, which i havent loved in the past, but this is pretty cool, corn based, a little sweet, curious, with a fruity and floral flavor, somewhat light, and definitely intriguing from start to finish. more ambitious than anything else i have had from these guys in the past too. there is apparently purple corn and passion fruit in this, i would have maybe guess raspberries and hibiscus or something, definitely fruity but not specific to my palate, and with quite a bit of earthy sweetness still here from the corn, although it drinks light to me, not sugary, just such an interesting complexion. there has to be some other grain in here too, as there is some body to it, a pinkish hue to it must come from the corn, but it looks like what hibiscus does to beer when used a certain way. the corn is an interesting flavor, it does have a very old worldy rustic character to it, definitely not yellow corn flavor either, its own thing. some light tang to this as well which makes it almost refreshing, and a subtle spiciness as well, maybe from the yeast. summery to me, fun, kind of generic fruity, a gummy candy thing going on too, but a cool beer overall, better than other takes on this style i have had, and seems like a cool project. enjoyable to pass around with friends.
