16 ounce pour - World of Beer in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Served up a fairly clear, light reddish-amber body. Full inch of white suds up top, light coating lace.
Smell: Hmm. That's odd. Smells of chilled black tea hit with a moderate hint of fruit. Maybe a little toasty grain, but, all in all, it doesn't strike me as a amber, a red or even a beer. Hmm.
Taste: Just as with the nose, it's rather odd. Semi-sweetened tea-like, dosed with plums. A little bit tannic, a little bit hinting of diacetyl. Minimally bitter. It culminates into a very peculiar flavor, some less beer and some more like you'd find in a Snapple bottle.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Unappealing, not recommended.

Appearance: Pours crystal clear red with a small but lasting off white head and OK lacing.
Aroma/Flavor: Medium+ notes of nuts, caramel, toast, and even a hint of chocolate. Little to no hop/yeast driven aromas and just a hint of earthy hop flavors.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Drinkable but definitely not a summer beer.
Overall: Possibly my favorite ET yet. A solid red ale and a great pairing for Fall.
