Kind of a closet Garage Brewing fan. They try lots of interesting beers and I do a poor job of purchasing them. Grabbed this one without even looking at the bottle, just the $5.79 price. Website description read, “This scrumptious stout touts rich, bold peanut butter aromas and a silky chocolate mouthfeel with flavors that will remind you of classic peanut butter cups – without the melty mess.”
Poured a black color with one finger of khaki tan frothy head. Could see a few bubbles coming up from the sides of the glass. Good spotty lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled sweet creamy peanut butter, chocolate, chocolate peanut butter cups and nuts. Just lovely. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste wasn’t as good as the nose. In order got creamy peanut butter, chocolate, chocolate peanut butter cups and nuts. So good. (Taste - 4.25)
Full body. Creamy-to-sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Really just an excellent beer for the style. Loved it. (Overall - 4.25)
