poured from can to tulip
crystal clear dark gold body pours with an off-white frothy bubbled head that has moderately low retention and leaves patches of sticky sudsy lacing as it settles to a murky cap with thin, defined halo
clean aroma of coffee and bright fruit with lactose sweetness
taste is an odd but well rounded blend of light coffee with cream, honey, both dark fruits and citrus with a slight earthy bitterness heads sweetness off at the pass
moderately high carbonation and medium-light body, goes smooth and creamy, and finishes with just a hint of floral bitterness
overall
this is an incredibly easy brew considering what it sets off to accomplish. sweet, but not too sweet, rounded off by coffee and an earthy bitterness. coffee with cream and a traditional blonde ale - mixed to perfection. leans towards a cream ale, but is very bright, honeyed, and fruity.
