16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours fairly hazy golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing and streaming carbonation. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, dark berries, citrus rind, cedar, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toast, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced bready malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Fairly crisp on resins, long drying finish, mild astringency. Mild warmth of 6.8%, a bit of booze or hop burn maybe? after the finish. Smooth yet aggressive. Nice unique profile of Eureka, Citra, El Dorado. I did get some of the unmistakable stale hops character, making me think that 9-12 months is about how old this is(under normal conditions). Very dank and earthy in hops overall. IPAs usually get more earthy and piney over time, this still has a good amount of juiciness. Otherwise I like the weirdness of Eureka now and again, and it's a standard west coast style in feel. Well made.

Clear golden brew with fine-grained foam in the Crooked Line tulip. Deeply aromatic with smells of tangerine and peach. Light body but full mouthfeel with a creamy carbonation.
Apricot flavor is really good. Some heat from the alcohol that goes nicely with the clean, warm malt. Very modest bitterness but enough to balance all the fruit. Overall, this is a fragrant and mild-mannered hoppy brew. I think it's one of the best entries in the current "tropical IPA" competition. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Red & White Market in Oceanside.
