On tap at Bottle Logic Brewing in Anaheim, CA.

Pours an almost opaque super dark brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and caramel aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa and caramel flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid cocoa and caramel qualities all around.

On-tap at Bottle Logic itself, on to the beer:

The color of obsidian rests in the glass, topped with a French vanilla canopy which leaves very good lace. It smells like a proper porter, with roasted coffee, some mocha, both temping the nose for a drink., Success. This porter has a charge despite hitting under the 5% ABV mark. Taste is mocha sweet, mixed with a pleasing roastiness, complimented with a brush of hops from under the surface. Light/medium bodied, smooth despite the roasted character, and easy to drink.

Thumbs up!
