Great conversation with Jessie (from Bottle Logic) and Ryan (snaotheus) regarding the making of this gem.
Pours a beautiful straw to gold in hue. Light, fluffy white head pops up and quickly recedes to a thin, almost creamy, cap. Scattered clumps of lacing (a much as can be in the plastic glass).
Nose is very peach forward with hints of sweet grain. That's it. But tempting.
Flavor has an initial punch of peach, but not pulpy or full. It's more of an essence of peach in liquid form. But wait a minute...second sip, and wow. Here comes the chile. It's not over the top, it's not too hot, but it straight up comes in swinging on the second sip. It's fruity, slightly acidic, yes a bit of a kick, but it really works with the peach. Following this glorious surprise is a nice crackery malt note that whispers on the back end.
Mouthfeel is on the thinner side, but it's crisp, and has a warm (as in chile heat) finish.
Overall, this was a most pleasant surprise.
