@beersnake shared a crowler with @resistance88, @2beerdogs, and me. Review entered from notes. I think the crowler was 10 months old!
Pours ruby, clear, no head except a little dusty swirl. Smell is bark and nuts, vanilla and syrup, maybe maple. Some wood. Caramel. Taste is bark and figs, interesting mashup of English and American barleywine. Sweetness, raisins, some charred fruit. Grape acidity? Mouthfeel is moderate, fairly smooth, a bit thinner than I would expect. Overall, not bad. Very interesting. Impressive condition for something crowlered 10 months ago.

Poured from a crowler (filled 10/3/2024) at fridge temp. Pours a very dark brown with a half inch of head. The nose is fantastic. Burnt toffee, dark fruit, light hops, and some bourbon.
The taste is insane. The barrel has a big influence here, but it's so smooth. Toffee is strong, and a really nice hoppy note comes through on the taste. Reminds me of grapefruit peel. What a combination. The dark fruit is there - prunes, figs, and a touch of red wine.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a nice long finish. The bourbon comes through quite a bit on the aftertaste. This is just a great beer. I wish it was bottled, but I'm happy to have a crowler!

Oh yeah, this is a brazen beast. Biting, bitter caramel and pine assert themselves while brown liquor, raisins, vanilla, light cherries, port, and more round things out. Reminds me a bit of Behemoth from 3 Floyd's. Thanks Tim, this is exactly what I wanted tonight!
