Nice on all levels. Some dark roast bitterness accented by some kickass hoppiness. Black and rich, dark chocolate elements in aroma and taste. Hops add a sharp abrupt finish. Nice complex black beer.

On tap at Woodland Empire tonight... $2.50 for a nice size tulip... Dark tan head is foamy and very resilient... The brew is the expected black... Nice drapes of lacing.
Nose is roastier than many Black IPA's, but the malts are smacked around well by a good citrus hoppy aroma.
Flavor begins nice and bitter up front and melts into the roasty malts... again citrus hops are a power player and a long bittersweet chocolate essence trails on the finish.
Light/medium body... Very drinkable and no perceivable flaws. This will be my goto Woodland brew for a while.
