Pours out with nice fluffy beige head, hazy dark amber body. Aroma is dried fruit, yeast with a hint of sourness. More malt comes in with the flavor, fairly dry, not as robust as the Belgian varieties, but a good start.

On tap Friday night and tonight at the brewery. Good price, $2.50 for a pretty nice goblet... Slightly hazed reddish amber with an off-white head that dies back pretty slowly leaving decent lacing.. Nose isn't as complex as most Belgian Dubbels, but it is a good jumping off point.. Toasty maltiness with a light yeast profile that shows light cherry and perhaps some peppery notes if I concentrate. Flavor is a little better especially as it warms up... More fruity notes that make me think plum or maybe golden raisin, still the dried cherry is the biggest component after the toasty malts.. Medium body, pretty smooth.. Good drinkability for the style. Probably just needs some yeasty temperature tweaks to take to take this to the next level. Well done IMO.
3.75's across the board.
