2016 bottling pours out thick and oily opaque black with no head or lacing. Charry, roasty coconut is present, with mild dark chocolate. More coconut on the palate, not overwhelming by any stretch, kept in check by present charry smokiness and a good amount of roasted malt. Slick and oily body (guessing from the coconut addition?) with minimal burn present. Not a bad overall coconut imperial stout, definitely doesn't lean cloying or overly sweet.

This is a new brewery that has done a nice job. Great appearance. Very nice aroma. Mild coconut taste very pleasant. This is highly recommended it you can not get to Hawaii for a great coconut beer.

Poured from a 22oz bomber from Tavour. Dark, with a quite minimal khaki head which quickly disappears. Aroma is some dark fruit, but its slight. Trace of malt, bread.
First impression of taste is cherries, with a toastiness with coconut lightening up the potential roast. Caramel, anise, slight char, smoke. A real marshmellow coffee feel -- it's the coconut. Slight boozy sweetness. The bottle says 9% ABV (the listing says 10%). But it feels like 11%. Not hidden.
Ends with a bitter bite a bit harsh. Evidence of a tart, hoppy dankness, none too prevalent. Beginning of the sip is better than the finish, and as it warms it goes more roasty, coconut and alcohol-y.
It's *almost* too sweet but otherwise a nice variant on an american stout.

On tap at brewery. Coconut adds sweetness, but still allows the roast nature to shine through. Silky smooth, chalky friends, roast grain bitterness, minimal heat. Nice addition to the Beast family.

Bottle picked up at the brewery last week... Pours standard black with a very short lived dark tan head... no real lacing... Still has a nice viscosity that stains the glass with every swirl.. Great coconut essence on the nose and then is accentuated by a slight sweetness... Chocolate malty notes and the coconut obviously work great together and this time is no exception. Very good and miles ahead of last year's Beast Moans renditions. Incredibly tasty.
